My First Blog Post!

Well here we are! I've been thinking about starting a blog for months now, well probably for about as long as I've been on maternity leave. I wasn't sure I would have anything to blog about, but the more blogs I read, the more I think "hey I can do this, and people might actually be interested in what I have to say!!". I'm a new mom, so I'm learning new things every day. I'm mostly learning how to find a balance between myself, my marriage and my daugther! Throw 2 dogs and cat in there and you have my life!! Since I've been off, I've branched out to Twitter and most recently Pinterest! I don't know how I'm going to keep all this up when I have to go back to work in April! But for now, I'm trying to forget that I have to go back there at some point!! I hope you enjoy reading my random thoughts and views and please comment!! Please also be patient as I try to figure out this whole blog world!!

  2. Lets try this a second time, unfortunately my first message was awesome, I am not sure this one will live up to the first one. Anyway from one blogger to another, I would suggest you get a web counter, that has helped me many days when I thought to just stop blogging as I thought I was pouring my sole out and no one was reading, I am amazed now to be able to see how many people have read mine and its cool to see that they are reading from all over the world - go on my blog and on the right hand side it shows the counter, click on it and it will take you to a site where you can get a free counter. You will find that seeing people read it can lift your spirits, and I love when I get comments, it validates what you are writing for. You will soon find that you feel you owe your readings a post .. it's addictive. I cant tell you how many times I have woken up at night and thought of a new topic to blog about. I wish you all the best and when you figure out how to adsense .. let me in on it .. hee hee

  3. Oh yeah almost forgot. If there is something you love to do, you still have time to consider turning it into a business so that you don't have to go back. If you want to follow your cooking heart, I am up for an adventure. I have been dying to create my baking business. I warned you it would be hard to leave her. I know .. been there done it, and didn't want to do it again with Shea, hence why I changed my life. With Savannah as you have read, I cried everyday heading to work feeling like I was a bad mom for leaving her. Now with Shea I am already thinking about how much I will miss him when he goes to school full time next year. And I feel guilty the days I put him in daycare so that I can work. Its a tough struggle deary ..
